Executive Technology & AI Advisor
Helping organisations make better AI decisions.
AI is changing every industry, but technology alone rarely creates value.
The organisations that succeed are the ones that understand what makes them exceptional and use AI to build on those strengths.
From AI strategy to secure private AI systems, I help leadership teams turn ideas into practical capability.

Philosophy
Models aren't the hard part anymore.
Everyone now has access to powerful AI.
The advantage is knowing what is worth building, what is not, and how technology can strengthen what the organisation already does well.
Good AI doesn't replace people's thinking. It helps them make better use of their knowledge, judgement and time.
Most organisations do not have an AI problem. They have a clarity problem.
How I work
A simple three-step way of working
Think Clearly
Before anyone builds anything, we work out what already makes the organisation successful, what's holding it back and where AI could make the biggest difference. Most of the value is decided here.
Design the Right Solution
The right solution for your organisation, your information and your constraints. Not the most impressive solution. The most useful one.
Build What Matters
Working systems that earn their place. Systems that save time, improve decisions and leave the team more capable than before.
Selected work
I advise. I also build.
LivePrivate AI · Defence Technology · Knowledge Systems
A growing defence technology company had secured major Ministry of Defence work.
Its three-person core team was managing valuable knowledge across capability development, research, finance, client documents and several business areas. The information was commercially sensitive and could not be placed into public AI tools.
I designed and deployed a private AI knowledge system inside the company's own environment.
The team now has one secure place to store, search and work with its knowledge. They use it for research, presentations, reporting, document retrieval and client communications.
Within the first month, more than 50 important documents had been indexed and all three members of the core team were using the platform.
The system is designed to save hundreds of hours as the company grows, while keeping its intellectual property fully under its own control.

Three ways I work with organisations
Start here
Start with an AI Opportunity & Privacy Review
A focused review of where AI could create real value, what information needs to remain private and what is worth building first.
AI Strategy & Advisory
I help leadership teams decide where AI fits and where it does not. Together we identify opportunities, challenge assumptions and turn ideas into a practical plan.
- Leadership workshops.
- Use-case discovery and prioritisation.
- Build-versus-buy assessment.
- Technology and vendor choices.
- Governance, privacy and risk.
- Written recommendations and next steps.
Private AI & Solution Architecture
I design secure AI systems around the organisation's information, workflows and constraints. This may include private AI, local AI, knowledge systems, secure document search and AI workflows built around the way your organisation already works.
- Private and local AI design.
- Secure knowledge systems.
- Data, access and privacy planning.
- Model and platform selection.
- Rapid prototypes before wider investment.
- A clear technical roadmap.
AI Delivery
I build working AI systems, document them clearly and help the team make them part of everyday work. The goal is not dependency. It is to leave the organisation with a useful system and the confidence to run it.
- Build and deployment.
- Workflow integration.
- Testing and improvement.
- Clear documentation.
- Team training and handover.
- Ongoing support where useful.
Every organisation is different. Engagements are scoped individually based on goals, existing capability and the decisions you're trying to make.
Who I work with
Leaders who want clarity before complexity
The strongest engagements are with leaders who care deeply about what they are building and want technology to make their people more capable.
Leadership teams ready to make real AI decisions.
Growing organisations whose systems need to catch up.
Teams with valuable knowledge spread across too many places.
Organisations that need AI without exposing sensitive information.
Founders who value honest advice and clear thinking.
Businesses ready to build something useful.
How engagements run
Structured from day one
Conversation
We discuss what makes the organisation work, where it wants to go and what is currently getting in the way.
Strategy and design
We decide what is worth doing and shape the simplest useful solution.
Build and integrate
Where needed, I build the system and fit it into the way the team works.
Handover and enablement
The system is documented clearly and the team learns how to use it with confidence.
Ongoing advisory
I remain available for the decisions that matter.
About
Different chapters. The same purpose.
I have spent my career committed to work I love: music, martial arts, building businesses and helping founders turn ideas into reality.
Those worlds may look unrelated. To me, they share the same foundation: connecting with people and leaving them more capable than before.

Songwriter
My work has accumulated billions of streams worldwide.
Music taught me that clarity creates connection. The strongest ideas are often the ones people understand and feel immediately.
Founder & Martial Arts Coach
I grew up in martial arts, taught my first class at eighteen, spent more than twenty years at my father's gym, and founded Union Academy. Along the way, I've had the privilege of coaching thousands of students.
Martial arts taught me that leverage beats force. A small change in understanding can completely change what someone believes they can do.
Founder Advisor
I have advised founders and leadership teams across AI, Web3 and emerging technology.
My role has often been to act as a calm sounding board, simplify difficult decisions and help turn ambitious ideas into practical action.
Executive Technology & AI Advisor
Today those lessons shape how I advise organisations on technology and AI.
I help leadership teams understand what matters, make confident technology decisions and build AI capabilities that people actually use.
Based in Manchester. Working with a small number of organisations locally and beyond.
If the stakes are high and the answer isn't obvious, let's talk.
No pitch, no deck. Tell me what you're building, what makes it special and where you think technology could help. I will tell you honestly whether I think I can add value.
